Biscornus
Biscornus are laced together with stitches created by a backstitched border. For successful biscornu construction, please follow the guidelines below.
Trim options: Beads, ribbon, charms.
Important note when stitching biscornus: Use consistent medium tension for backstitching the border—stitches should not be loose, they should be snug, but not too tight that the fabric distorts or stitches disappear. Proper backstitch tension makes for easy construction of the biscornu.
Count those backstitches! Before sending your pieces in for finishing, please count the number of backstitches for the borders on each side. The number of backstitches should be the same on each side and should match the number specified in your design.
Thank you sew much!
